P0706 Audi

P0706 indicate the TCM / transmission range sensor does not understand the shift level signal. The most likely cause is electrical connectivity between the shifter connector to TCM. A full TCM failure will include flashing gear indicator on all P R N D and no forward motion. Or missing P R N D (one or more) while in motion under 1600 rpm. I have a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T FWD. MIL code reads p0706. Now, I know the issue is with the TCM but I have gone to the dealer and they tell me it's a throttle body issue, the time after when I approached the dealership they said it needs a new TCM. A different independent shop is telling me it.

Hi Guys. I hope ive posted this in the correct section.
2006 Audi A6 TDI 2.0 Auto Multitronic stuck in Park.
All brakes are perfect, bulbs, fuses, switch checked, all electionics working.
I have noticed the Gear selector on the dash is not displaying the gear selected. It should be displaying P but nothing is highlighted
I have pressed the override button under the front ashtray compartment to allow me to more the gear level. Even when I put it in N or D again the gear selection display on the dash is not displaying the gear i'm in?
I had a car auto electicion come and go a code read which on his advanced diagnostic system connected fine and did a full code read.
I have the follow codes which came out
17090 - Transmission Range Sensor F125 - Implausible Signal : P0706
01119 - Gear Recognition Signal
6275 - Park/Neutral Switch
Suggestions please?
